"Diligent" 8/28/08

By Paige
Today was a very endearing day for the 6th grade class. We are still working out small things like bringing your planner everyday, having the planner signed every day, and also walking in a straight, single-file line. Hopefully that will be all be understood soon and we can move on to other things.

Overall, most of the students are doing well academically and are adjusting to LCA well. The science quizzes today were not as good as I had hoped, but after playing 3 science review games, I believe the students are ready for tomorrow's test. Please make sure you are following up with your child about his/her homework.

We have started some new things in the classroom that are exciting. Our school collects nestle pure life labels off the water bottles to receive money for p.e. equipment from Nestle. As a class, we have set a goal of 1000 labels and we will have a pizza party. The students have already collected over 135 in three days. If you would, please help your child participate as the class is encouraging team work for their goal. Tomorrow will be a great day, inspite of the tests. The students should be ready for the tests and will be excited for the long weekend.
